Breakfast: The Bagel Shop

In my 10 years of residing in Melbourne, walking out of Melbourne central and going onto the trams has been quite tedious. This was until I noticed this huge sign that read: “The Bagel Shop” just recently. It piqued my interest, was it really worth buying something I can make at home? Clearly, since this is a recommendation I was wrong to question. The selection of pork, crab and caviar, salmon and pastrami were incredible.

Protein & Pickles

Whether it was eating in or ordering takeout to bring into university, each bite was sublime. The combination of a protein and pickles, which cut through the fat, was immaculate. Some might ask why there are pretzels on each half of the bagel, and to be completely honest I’m not too sure at all. Perhaps it’s the additional crunch and salt it provides that makes this element vital. Although I do love their bagels, I, unfortunately, cannot vouch for their matcha lattes. Akin to green, frothy milk, I believe it does not represent the true flavour of matcha.

Overall this is an amazing pick-up in the mornings or even for lunch!
