This eatery is a perfect excuse for a country escape. Based on the ideology of living off the land, each dish incorporates locally grown ingredients. I must admit, having your friends repeatedly recommend one establishment over time means that you should definitely go. However, as 10 Minutes by Tractor is located in Main Ridge, near Rosebud, no matter what others said, I nudged the thought to the side. It was only when I realised that this eatery utilises its own crops and ingredients for its dishes, was when I committed. I booked a table and recruited a crew of 3 for a 7-course degustation.

Journey
Realistically, the price point was extremely steep at $250 per person, but I must say that this is the best $250 I have ever spent. Perhaps it was the fresh air away from the city and the green pastures that amplified this experience. Let me enlighten you. Each plate had an intricate formulation - tarts with 5 components, cured, seasoned and cooked. The courses moved from lamb to duck and marron, all presented with the most intricate details. The view was stunning and the mocktails paired each dish perfectly.
The moral of the story: when your friends tell you to make a trip, make that trip.
